Afterwhile, LLC Founder Selected for Beta Cohort of National Genealogical Society's James Worris Moore Leadership Academy
STAFFORD, Va., Oct. 10, 2026 — Dr. Antoinette Jenkins, founder and CEO of Afterwhile, LLC, has been selected by the National Genealogical Society (NGS) as a beta cohort member of the James Worris Moore Leadership Academy.
Initiated in 2025, the academy is named in honor of James Worris Moore—a pioneering archivist whose professional contributions and advocacy continue to positively impact the field. The purpose of the academy is to advance the future of genealogical leadership by facilitating enriching opportunities for learning, connection, and development.
"I am honored to be selected for this prestigious program," said Jenkins. "I appreciate NGS's commitment to advancing the field of genealogy through development. I am excited to learn with such an impressive group of leaders and I look forward to the invaluable opportunities offered by the James Worris Moore Leadership Academy."
Commencing in September 2026, the nine-month program will provide leadership development opportunities through collaborative learning, committee service, mentoring, and a capstone research project. The program will culminate with capstone presentations and graduation in May 2027.
